Update: Because of Putins war against the Ukraine, we stoped the collaboration with Winzavod/ Moscow.

In May / June 2018 the international artist exchange program of WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow / Russia and NOVOPO Weitenhagen / Germany started. The cooperation enables a contemporary visual artist to spend a one-month work visit at WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow.

The artist will be offered free accommodation and a 20m² large working space directly on the premises of WINZAVOD. Travel costs, meals and costs for any necessary material are to be borne by the artist, as well as the costs for visas (about 57 euros).

As part of the stay, the artist receives the possibility of artistic exchange with artists on site. In addition, a comprehensive cultural program is offered. The "Young Biennale of Contemporary Art" taking place in WINZAVOD in June promises interesting insights into the Moscow art scene. As part of this, the artist * will receive an exhibition participation (opening June 5, 2018).

WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art in Moscow is a complex of 7 industrial buildings of a former 19th century brewery / wine press and today houses several galleries and art and cultural event spaces. WINZAVOD initiated a program to promote Russian artists in 2018 and offers them support in artistic development, work and exhibition opportunities. Within this framework, the international artist exchange takes place between WINZAVOD Center for Contemporary Art / Moscow and NOVOPO in Weitenhagen / Germany. In August, an artist from Russia will be given the opportunity to stay in Weitenhagen for a while.
